Overview
Kalimpong is a hilltop town located at the east of river Teesta. Because of its location at a relatively lower altitude, the weather is milder and pleasant throughout the year. This place is an ideal location for the tourists looking for a comfortable stay sheltered from the harsh cold winds and with a picturesque view of the Kanchenjunga and other Himalayan snow peaks. Kalimpong makes for one of the frontrunners in offering exciting adventure sports like hiking, trekking, paragliding, river rafting etc. Deolo Hills and Teesta River in Chitrey, Melli are ideal location for paragliding and river rafting respectively.
Itinerary
Day 2
Kalimpong Local Sightseeing.
Early morning breakfast and start the day for sightseeing. Kalimpong offers monasteries, temples, tourist complexes, heritage buildings, parks, flower nurseries, heritage schools, charitable institutes - Start with Zang Dhok Palri Phodang Monastery or Durpin Monastery – Army Golf Course – Flower Nurseries - Deolo - Hanuman Tok - Dr Grahams Home - Heritage buildings like Gouripur House and Morgan House etc - then enjoy your lunch at any of the restaurants in town - back to hotel. Overnight stay at Kalimpong
Day 3
Departure from Kalimpong to Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / (NJP).
Drive to Siliguri. After breakfast transfer to It’s a drive of 80 kilometers, 2½ - 3 hours - The drive will be along the River Teesta. The way has pleasant climate and scenic beauty. Tour Ends.
