Overview
Kalimpong is a hilltop town located at the east of river Teesta. Because of its location at a relatively lower altitude, the weather is milder and pleasant throughout the year. This place is an ideal location for the tourists looking for a comfortable stay sheltered from the harsh cold winds and with a picturesque view of the Kanchenjunga and other Himalayan snow peaks. Kalimpong makes for one of the frontrunners in offering exciting adventure sports like hiking, trekking, paragliding, river rafting etc. Deolo Hills and Teesta River in Chitrey, Melli are ideal location for paragliding and river rafting respectively.
Itinerary
Day 2
Darjeeling Local Sightseeing
You will be visiting Tiger Hill quite early in the morning. On the way back to your hotel again, pay a visit to the alluring Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop, and its War Memorial. You will be served your breakfast once you return to the hotel. After having some rest, you will be going to visit other popular places in Darjeeling including the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Centre, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Japanese Temple, Peace Pagoda, Rangeet Valley Passenger Ropeway, etc. Dinner and then overnight stay in Darjeeling once you return back to the hotel.
Day 3
Go for Full Day Mirik Sightseeing
You will be heading to Mirik after breakfast. Enjoy the pleasant weather and stunning views and have fun horseback riding, and boating at Mirik. While returning back to the hotel, explore every nook and corner of Pashupati market. Overnight stay in Darjeeling.
Day 4
Get Dropped at NJP/Bagdogra Airport
Hence, you will have your breakfast and get ready to leave for Bagdogra Airport/NJP. Tour finally ends after your successful arrival in NJP/Bagdogra Airport.
